UnderStanding America is being founded as a movement to inspire citizens to live up to the principles that once defined our country. I believe that out of all the prides out there, civic pride should stand first amongst them. We're not a political organization trying to change civilians. We're a civic organization trying to change politics from the ground up.
Our national agenda items include, but are not limited to;
- petitioning the President to create the Office of Civic Engagement (a non-party affiliated government agency who's sole duty is to bolster civic engagement through targeted campaigns at likely audiences)
We picture starting out as a civics roadshow if you will, showcasing the natural beauty of our country by embarking on the America The Beautiful Tour. It's a multi-year project in which we visit every state in our union making fully comprehensive videos of state and national parks/monuments (a combination of a tourist video interacting with other tourists and park staff and full fledged camping/survival videos) in order to give the citizenry a broader sense of connection.
